Super Agent Mino Raiola Pocketed More Money This Summer Than Cristiano Ronaldo Makes in a Season

The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba has not only benefited Manchester United, but the bank balance of super agent Mino Raiola.

Reported by Spanish news outlet AS, Raiola is this summer's big winner after engineering three of the most high profile moves in football history provided him with a significant windfall.

The representative from Italy has forged his name as one of the biggest players in the transfer market, ousting Jorge Mendes from the position of power with Manchester United's new recruits earning Raiola more than Cristiano Ronaldo's annual Real Madrid wage.

Whilst Ibrahimovic arrived at Manchester United on a free transfer following the conclusion of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Raiola earned himself a bonus of£2.5m as Zlatan made his long-awaited arrival in English football.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the next Raiolaimport to arrive in the red half of Manchester after completing a £26.3m move from Borussia Dortmund that carried a tasty profit of nearly £7m for the agent's troubles.

Finally, Paul Pogba's record-breaking deal seemed for large parts of the summer as though it would not be completed, with United unwilling to match the fees Raiola was demanding. With Pogba a former Red Devil, the club have dealt with the Italian previously and appear unhappy with his influence over their player.

Sir Alex Ferguson is quoted in his autobiography, Leading, explaining Raiola's presence in negotiations and the impact he had on the situation when Pogba controversially left for Juventus in 2012.

I distrusted him from the moment I met him...We had Paul under a three-year contract, and it had a one-year renewal option which we were eager to sign. But Raiola suddenly appeared on the scene and our first meeting was a fiasco."

THE MAN IS UNITED

Nevertheless, the Frenchman is back at Old Trafford and the player's representative is living the dream that the stadium promises after pocketing £17m in a deal that saw the transfer record smashed. Raiola's fee incidentally is the equivalent that rivals Arsenal recently paid Deportivo La Corunafor their new striker Lucas Perez .

With the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Blaise Matuidi and emerging goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also signed up to the agent's consultancy, Raiola's wallet looks set to continue to bulge.
