Tottenham Star Erik Lamela Angrily Refutes Speculation Linking Him With White Hart Lane Exit

Tottenham's Argentinean star Erik Lamela has responded angrily to transfer speculation linking him with a return to Italy, according to a report in theInter-news.it.

The 24-year-old, who signed for the North London outfit in the summer of 2013 from AS Roma for a fee in the region of£25.8m, enjoyed a stellar campaign last season, scoring five goals and assisting nine as Spurs went on to finish third and claim a coveted Champions League spot.

But the Argentine international has been the root of incessant transfer speculation since his arrival and given his relationship with manager and compatriot Mauricio Pochettino, the player is frustrated at the suggestion of his exit:

Every year since I've been at Tottenham at this time of year we talk about my possible transfer to Italy.

I honestly do not know why you always spread this rumour. I am only focused on Tottenham and I want to stay here and as I said last year when they feared another transfer I only care about this club.
