Asamoah Kuffour, the captain of Ghana's Black Satellites, has expressed his team's readiness to deliver their best performance in the upcoming 13th African Games Men's Football tournament.
The team is set to face Congo in their opening Group A match on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kuffour, speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash, stated that the players are grateful to be given this opportunity to represent Ghana. "There are many young players out there looking for this opportunity and we are grateful to be selected to represent Ghana in this competition," he said.
The match against Congo is scheduled to kick off at 3pm and is expected to be a thrilling encounter. The Black Satellites will subsequently face The Gambia and Benin in their group stage matches, with their sights set on securing a place in the semi-finals.
The team's confidence is high, with Kuffour emphasizing their determination to make Ghana proud. "We are ready and we are prepared enough to win the trophy," he added.
