Accra Lions FC on Sunday afternoon defeated Young Wise by a lone goal to maintain their unbeaten run to the 2020/2021 National Division One League season.
Since the opening weekend of the new football season, Accra Lions have won all five matches in Zone two and went into today’s encounter booming with confidence to pick another three points.
In a game where both teams gave it their all, neither side could score in the first half and settled for a draw at the break.
After recess, Accra Lions FC played as the better side and pushed to get on the scoresheet. Eventually after several attempts, the team had the breakthrough in the final minutes courtesy of a strike from Oliver Amedor.
Accra Lions FC have hence made it six wins out of six matches in the National Division One League this season.
