Karela United on Sunday afternoon put up an impressive fight to come from behind to defeat Elmina Sharks 3-1 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park on matchday seven of the Ghana Premier League.

On the matchday, a bright start to the game saw the visitors upsetting the home team with their brilliant play in the first ten minutes.

Subsequently, in the 14th minute, James Bissue found the back of the net to shoot Elmina Sharks into the lead.

Although they hoped to protect the lead, Karela United piled pressure on them and managed to restore parity ten minutes later when Richard Berko scored with a fine effort.

With no goals from there on before the break, the two teams returned from recess to give their all in the quest to amass all three points at the end of the game.

Courtesy of a strong display from Karela United, they managed to emerge 3-1 victorious at the end of the 90 minutes after Kwame Boateng and Diawisie Taylor had scored.
