Following the release of the fixtures for the 2019/20202 Ghana Premier League season, it has been revealed that the Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and arch-rivals Asante Kotoko will take place on matchday 6.
The meeting of the two most successful clubs in the country is the biggest fixture there is and this season is not going to be any different.
In 2019, the bitter rivals have met twice but no team has been able to win at the end of 90 minutes. However, the Porcupine Warriors did manage to win on penalties when they faced the Phobians at the semi-final stage of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
Ahead of the upcoming season, the build-up as anticipated has already started. Both teams while concentrating on their first five matches of the season will also surely be thinking about their sixth-match which will be the Super Clash.
Knowing that 3 points and bragging rights will be at stake, it will be a war on that matchday which will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
