2021 Afcon qualifiers: Black Stars set to train in Accra today

Black Stars of Ghana will commence training today in Accra for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in Cape Coast.

Coach Kwesi Appiah will put the players through their paces for the first time at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of Thursday's qualifier.

On Tuesday, the team will travel to Cape Coast to continue preparations for crucial qualifier.

Some of the players have already arrived in the country including Ghana skipper Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew who featured for their clubs in England on Saturday.

The rest are expected to touch down later this evening to augment the squad for Afcon qualifier.

The clash will be first game for the Black Stars since exiting the 2019 Afcon after losing to Tunisia in the Round of 16.

The team were not involved in any games in the two international breaks after the tournament.

The Black Stars will face the Bafana Bafana on Thursday before travelling to Sao Tome Principe to play them four days later.
