2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Dreams FC played to our strength in draw - Karela United Coach

Published on: 05 March 2023

Karela United's head coach, Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu, expressed his satisfaction with his team's goalless draw against Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday.

Shaibu's team played cautiously to avoid giving up any goals, and they were successful in holding Dreams FC to a draw.

In an interview with StarTimes, Shaibu said, "Yes, I was satisfied because they played to our tactics.

"We needed a point at all costs. If not winning, that was why we played the same manner."

Shaibu also noted that his team had difficulty playing on grass pitches since they mostly played and trained on the Astro turf.

He added they would work on that to improve their performance in upcoming matches.

Karela United is currently sitting in the 8th position on the Ghana Premier League table with 25 points from 20 matches played.

The team will be hoping to continue their solid performances as they face off against Nsoatreman in their next game on March 12.
