Berekum Chelsea produced a top performance on Sunday afternoon to beat in-form Bechem United by a goal to nil in the Ghana Premier League.
The two clubs today locked horns at the Golden City Park in a Week 16 encounter of the 2022/23 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
Before today’s game, Bechem United had won three games on the bounce. In the last outing of the hunters in midweek, the team had thrashed Real Tamale United 6-2.
Courtesy of the impressive form of the club, Berekum Chelsea didn’t have a good chance of coming away with the win.
However, thanks to a resilient and impressive performance from the Blues, the team has been able to shock the opponent.
Today’s contest was decided by a strike from Fravien Kwasi Kongoza in injury time of the first half.
The defeat has seen Bechem United drop out of the top four of the Ghana Premier League standings.
