2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 22: Bechem United v Karela United preview

Published on: 17 March 2023

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League will enter week 22 this weekend with nine matches scheduled to be played.

Unlike previous matches, there will be no game played on Friday. However, games will be played on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

On Sunday, one of the five matches scheduled to be played will be the game between Bechem United and Karela United.

Form Guide:

Bechem United just like last season is having a very good campaign in the ongoing season.

After 21 matches into the season, the Hunters are 3rd on the Ghana Premier League table with 33 points.

In the last five matches of the team, Bechem United have won twice, drawn one game, and lost the other two games as well.

While that is proof that the team’s form has dipped, playing at home makes Bechem United a dangerous side to face.

The visiting team, Karela United must be wary of this threat.

For the Anyinase-based club, the team has surprisingly struggled to compete this season. That is why the side is 14th on the Ghana Premier League table.

Karela United in the last five games managed to fight to win two games drew one and lost the remaining two games.

While there have been some improvements in the team’s performance, the side needs to do better to avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Predicted scoreline:

This should be an interesting contest. Bechem United go into the game as the strong favourite. However, Karela United can pull a surprise in the team’s quest to climb higher on the league standings.

Bechem United 2-1 Karela United.
