Published on: 24 March 2023

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season is set to continue this weekend with Week 23 matches.

After months of exciting action in the Ghanaian top-flight league, the season has progressed very well and will soon enter the final hurdle.

As a result, not only are the top clubs fighting for wins to increase their chances of winning the league title but those in the relegation zone are grinding for results to stand a chance of avoiding the drop.

This weekend, all nine matches are scheduled to come off as planned. Games will be played from Friday, March 24, through Saturday to Sunday, March 26.

On Friday, the only game that will be played will be between Kotoku Royals and King Faisal.

Form Guide:

This weekend’s encounter between Kotoku Royals and King Faisal is a must-win for both sides.

The reason is simple, both teams are fighting relegation and need the three points to enhance their chances of climbing out of the red zone.

In the last five matches of Kotoku Royals, the club has managed to win two, draw two, and lost the other one.

Although it is an improvement as compared to earlier in the season, it has not been enough to lift the side from the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.

This weekend’s opponent, King Faisal are 16th on the league log having only amassed 25 points from 21 matches.

In the last five games of the Kumasi-based side, the team has two wins, two draws, and one defeat.

They must now up their game to climb away from the relegation zone.

Predicted scoreline:

Despite the struggles of these two clubs, they have goals in them. For a game expected to see the two teams opening up in search of the win, it will be easy for fans to witness at least two goals.
