2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 34: Match Report – Berekum Chelsea 0-0 Hearts of Oak

Berekum Chelsea's final home game against Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League ended goalless on Sunday afternoon. 

Berekum Chelsea started the game very well in the early minutes. The home side made an attacking move into Hearts of Oak box but goalkeeper Richard Attah was alert to save the header from Berekum Chelsea in the 7th minute.

In the 28th minute, Seidu Suraj had an opportunity to give Hearts of Oak the lead but his last touch of the ball sent it over the goal post. Berekum Chelsea had to make a forced change in the 29th minute, Dramani Awuah was substituted for Emmanuel Essien due to injury.

Both teams entered the dressing for halftime with the score goalless. After the break Hearts pushed more men forward to try and take the lead. Baafi couldn’t connect to Samuel Inkoom’s good cross into the box in the 50th minute.

The Phobians kept on putting pressure on the home side, the players passed the ball very well to the delight of the away fans.

Despite attacking attempts from both sides they failed to score and the referee whistled for full time.
