Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan says he's refreshed to be back to training ahead of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League on Monday, December 19, 2022.

The 2022/23 campaign is currently on a one month break due to the on-going 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The topflight was halted after eight round of matches that saw two-time champions Aduana Stars lead the table with 16 points, one point richer than Accra Lions who are in second place with 15 points.

Hearts of Oak resumed training last week as coach Slavko Matic put the players through their paces.

"Personally, I feel refreshed after that break. I think that should go for all the players as well. It was a good rest for us all," Mohammed Alhassan said.

"So far, it’s been excellent and we are positive that when the league starts, we will give a good account of ourselves”.

He added, "Everyone will want to play a part in the games but it all depends on what you do at the training grounds and what the coaches want to see. It’s team work so we work together as a team and succeed together as a team."

"We are all working for the betterment of this team so whoever gets the opportunity to feature in any of the games knows very well that they have to give off their very best.

"For me, my focus is clear and that is to always give my best. I believe in my capabilities and I know the fans appreciate me as well."
