2022 Black Stars World Cup provisional squad: Spezia captain Emmanuel Gyasi earns spot in Black Stars list

Ghana coach, Otto Addo has named Emmanuel Gyasi in his 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Gyasi has been out of the national team for about a year now after making his debut under CK Akonnor.

Following his impressive performance in the ongoing Seria A season with Spezia Calcio, Gyasi has been included in the list.

The 27-year-old has made a total of 13 appearances for the side in all competitions.

Gyasi debuted for the Ghana national team in a 1–1 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tie with South Africa on 25 March 2021

Meanwhile, Otto Addo is expected to name his final squad for the tournament on November 14.

Ghana, who are making their fourth appearance at the global showpiece has been housed in Group H.

The Black Stars will open their campaign against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Ghana will wrap up their group stage adventure with their much-anticipated encounter with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will officially open camp on November 10 in Abu Dhabi and will take on Switzerland on November 17.
