2022 FIFA WCQ: Swindon Town goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott elated to make Ghana debut against Zimbabwe

Swindon Town goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott is happy to make his Black Stars debut against Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.

The 25-year-old put up an impressive display as Milovan Rajeva's side secured a 3-1 over the Warriors at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Wollacott started in a goal following the absence of Richard Ofori who has been sidelined for the past four weeks with an injury.

"A dream come true to make my international debut for @ghanafaofficial 🙌🏽 thank you all for the support," he wrote on his Twitter handle.

The result moves Ghana to six points from three matches after two wins and one defeat in the qualifying series.

Wollacott has made nine appearances this season for Swindon Town FC, keeping four clean sheets.

He is expected to start against Zimbabwe on matchday four of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday in Harare.
