2022 World Cup: Ghana opponent Uruguay names final 26-man squad for tournament

Ghana’s opponent for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Uruguay has announced its final squad for the tournament.

The South American country is in Group H of the upcoming world cup where the national team is one of the two favourites to top the group.

On October 29, Uruguay head coach Diego Alonso opened camp with a number of home-based players who made it into his 55-man provisional squad.

Since then, Uruguay has been training as part of preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which starts in 10 days' time in Qatar.

Today, Coach Diego Alonso has released his final 26-man squad for this year’s mundial.

Veteran players Muslera, Edinson Cavani, Luis Suarez, and Diego Godin are the top stars on the team.

Meanwhile, new hot-cake Darwin Nunez has also made the final Uruguay squad for the tournament.

At the Qatar tournament, Uruguay will face Ghana, Portugal, and South Korea in Group H.

Meanwhile, Ghana head coach Otto Addo is scheduled to release his final squad next Monday.
