2022 World Cup: Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh makes final list for Qatar

Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been included in Ghana's final 26 man squad for the 2022 World Cup according to reports in the local media.

The 21-year-old attacker was part of the initial 55 man provisional squad released four days ago by the Ghana Football Association after weeks of speculation.

Barnieh has been influential in all the games he has played for MTN FA Cup holders Accra Hearts of Oak this season.

Afriyie was handed his first call-up into the Ghana senior team, the Black Stars, ahead of Ghana's 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup Group G qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa. He was one of the five home-based players to make the squad.

The Ghana Football Association will officially announce the 26 man squad for the Mundial in the coming days.

The Black Stars of Ghana will play its final international friendly against Switzerland on November 17th in UAE before flying to Doha, Qatar.

Ghana is in Group H with South Korea, Portugal, and Uruguay.
