2022 World Cup: Hearts of Oak duo Afriyie Barnieh and Denis Korsah named in Black Stars provisional squad

Hearts of Oak duo of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Denis Korsah have been named in the 55-man Black Stars provisional squad ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars is returning to the global showpiece after missing out in Russia 2018, where France emerged as winners.

Ghana has been housed in Group H at the mundial against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars will open their World Cup account against Portugal on November 24 before taking on Uruguay and South Korea respectively.

The biggest soccer mundial has been scheduled for November and December this year, with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in Qatar.

Ghana coach Otto Addo on Friday announced his provisional list, with Barnieh and Korsah making up the squad.

Otto Addo is expected to trim the squad to 26 for the World Cup in the Asian country.

The Black Stars will take on Switzerland on November 17 before the start of the tournament on November 20.
