2022 World Cup: I can't wait to be there - Sporting CP and Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu

Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has said he can't wait to have a taste of the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The 19-year-old was instrumental as the West African country returned to the Mundial for the fourth time having missed out in the last edition in Russia in 2018.

The former Dreams FC and Steadfast FC forward played in the playoffs against Nigeria and was a livewire for Otto Addo's side.

Having joined Portuguese side, Sporting CP on a five-year deal, Issahaku is already dreaming of playing in the global showpiece in the Ghana colours.

"The World Cup is every footballer's dream," the youngster said as reported by CAFOnline.

"The World Cup is a very big thing and everyone dreams of it. I can't wait to be there", Issahaku said.

"It would be fantastic. I've already talked to them (team-mates about Ghana versus Portugal game at the World Cup) and it has everything to be a good game," he added.

Ghana will be making their fourth appearance at the Mundial in Qatar this November and Fatawu is expected to make the final squad for the global showpiece.

The four-time African champions are in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in the mix.
