Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has earned a spot in SofaScore's English Championship Team of the Season after an impressive loan spell with Leicester City.
The 20-year-old, loaned from Sporting Lisbon last summer, quickly became a favourite among Leicester fans. His contributions were pivotal as the Foxes secured promotion back to the Premier League by winning the Championship.
Issahaku has been directly involved in 20 goals this season, scoring seven and providing 13 assists. His stellar performances have earned him a place in SofaScore’s Team of the Season for the 2023/24 Championship campaign.

In the lineup, Issahaku features on the right side of a front three alongside Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter.
The team also includes Viktor Johansson in goal, with a defensive quartet consisting of Kyle Walker-Peters, Wesley Hoedt, Jacob Greaves, and Leif Davis.
The midfield is comprised of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Blackburn Rovers’ Sammie Szmodics, and Norwich City’s Gabriel Sara.
Meanwhile, Leicester City has reportedly activated the €17 million buy option clause to secure Issahaku's permanent transfer.
This move is set to benefit Issahaku's first club, Steadfast FC, co-owned by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddirsu, which is expected to receive €7.9 million from the transfer fee.
Steadfast FC initially sold the winger to Sporting Lisbon in 2022 for $1.5 million, with a 50% sell-on clause included in his contract.
