Ghana's Prince Osei Owusu netted a goal for Toronto FC during their commanding 5-1 victory over CF Montreal at the BMO Field in a clash for round 14 of the 2024 Major League Soccer later on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old has now tallied six goals in 13 league matches and has emerged as a pivotal figure in Toronto FC's resurgence following their lackluster start to the season.

With this win, Toronto FC ascends to fifth place on the Eastern Conference League table, boasting 22 points, trailing the league leaders, Inter Miami, by nine points. Inter Miami, guided by the Argentine legend Lionel Messi, currently holds the top position.

Toronto seized the lead merely six minutes into the game through Matthew Longstaff, with Frederico Bernardeschi extending their advantage six minutes later. Prince Osei Owusu then capitalized on a close-range opportunity in the 19th minute, courtesy of Lorenzo Insigne's assist.
