Surprisingly, Tekpetey and Kwabena Owusu who have been in a rich vein of form for their clubs  have been exempted.

Tekpetey, who plies his trade for Bulgarian outfit, Ludogorets has 8 goals and 6 assists in all competitions this season whiles Owusu has 5 goals and 1 assists in 14 appearances for Qarabag FK in Azerbaijan.

The pair exclusion from the provisional lists come as a surprise to many Ghanaians who believes they have been on top form this campaign.

Ghana has been housed in Group H at the mundial against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars will open their World Cup account against Portugal on November 24 before taking on Uruguay and South Korea respectively.
