Mozambique-based Maxwell Boakye wants Black Meteors duo of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Danlad Ibrahim and Augustine Randolph included in the Black Stars final squad for the 2022 World Cup.

The trio had a decent game when the Black Meteors defeated Mozambique 2-1 at way last Saturday in Maputo.

Boakye, who plies his trade in Mozambique for has clamored for the inclusion of the Black Meteors trio after watching them display during the U-23 AFCON qualifiers.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Hearts of Oak striker expressed his delight about the performance of the trio during the qualifiers and has therefore urged the Black Stars technical team to select them for the World Cup.

“Afriyie Barnieh has proven what is capable off, so I think he deserves to be in the final Black Stars squad for the World Cup. I was at the stadium when Ghana defeated Mozambique, I was impressed with him”

“Aside Barnieh, I saw Danlad Ibrahim and Augustine Randolph who had a decent game. Danlad proved to be the pillar against Mozambique, he made crucial saves, so I think he worth to be in final squad”

“I played with Randolph at Karela United, I know his style, he is one of the best right backs at the moment in the country, so I think he being in the final Black Stars won’t be bad” he said.
