English-born Ghanaian striker, Antoine Semenyo could miss Black Stars 2022 World Cup playoff games against Nigeria after sustaining an injury.

The 19-year-old suffered a knee injury in Bristol City's 2-1 home win over West Brom in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The Celtic target striker was forced out of the crucial game at the Ashton Gate Stadium on the 6th minute of the game.

According to multiple reports in the local media, Semenyo has been named in Black Stars squad for the crucial playoff games this month.

His scintillating performance in the English Championship called for his inclusion in Ghana's squad for the penultimate game.

Semenyo is expected to undergo a scan on Sunday to know the extent of the injury.

He becomes the third Ghanaian player who looks doubtful for the game after Abdul Baba Rahman and Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Semenyo has scored six goals and provided eight assists in his 25 game outings for Bristol City in the ongoing season so far.

Meanwhile, the technical team of the Black Stars are yet to release the squad for the games with the players expected to arrive in Ghana on Monday.
