The South Korean national football team is expected to advance to the round of 16 in the Qatar World Cup group stage with two wins and one tie.

ESPN, an American sports media outlet, predicted that Korea will finish second in Group H by winning 1-0 against Uruguay and Ghana, respectively, and drawing 0-0 against Portugal in the final game.

Portugal finished first in Group H, defeating Ghana 2-0 and Uruguay 2-1, and projected that Korea would lead in goal difference.

ESPN predicted South Korea will lose 2-0 to Brazil in the round of 16, and that Brazil would win the World Cup.

All other Asian countries are expected to be eliminated in the group stage, with Japan winning against Costa Rica but losing to Germany and Spain.
