2023/24 CAF Champions League: Medeama coach Evans Adotey names starting XI to take on Belouizdad

Published on: 01 December 2023

In a highly anticipated clash set to echo through the 2023/24 CAF Champions League, Medeama's experienced tactician, Evans Adotey, has unveiled the warriors who will lead the charge against Belouizdad.

The stage is none other than the iconic Baba Yara Stadium, where football fervor is expected to reach its zenith as these continental giants lock horns.

As the opening whistle beckons, Adotey's carefully chosen starting lineup holds the key to Medeama's ambitions in a game that promises thrills and an electric atmosphere.

Medeama faces Algeria powerhouse CR Belouizdad without their lead marksman Jonathan Sowah.

This is because he accumulated yellow cards and is suspended for the must win game to revive the club’s fortunes of reaching the knockout stage.

The 24-year-old has fronted the Yellow and Mauves attack since joining last year, leading them to an unprecedented Ghana Premier League title and qualifying them to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Below is Medeama's XI:

Belouizdad XI:

1. Alexis Guendouz

2. Mokhtar Belkhiter

3. Chouaib Keddad

4. Youcef Amine Laouafi

5. Meziane Bentahar

6. Mamadou Samake

7. Mouad Hadded

8. Abdelraouf Benguit
