Accra Lions put Medeama SC to a real test on Wednesday afternoon when the two teams locked horns in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

At the end of a pulsating contest, both teams earned a point each on the back of a 2-2 draw.

The defending champions hosted the team from Accra today to clear the Round 1 match of the new league season.

In the 18th minute, the visitors finished off a good team move to take the lead after Samuel Gyimah found the back of the Medeama SC net.

While the hosts would trail at halftime, the team did not give up and played very well after recess.

New signing Daniel Lomotey scored with a fine effort to make it 1-1.
