2023/24 Ghana Premier League week 12: Samartex edge Real Tamale United to keep top four spot

FC Samartex edged Real Tamale United 2-1 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday in match week 12 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League to keep their place in the top four.

The win means the home side is now on a three-match unbeaten streak, something they've not done this season and maintain their fourth spot with 20 points.

Real Tamale United, meanwhile, have moved from 13th to 14th on the league table with 14 points from 12 games.

Baba Hamadu Musa gave the hosts the lead 10 minutes into the game to take his side into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

He then bagged his brace 8 minutes after the hour mark to make it 2-0 for FC Samartex.

Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli scored a consolation for the Northern Blues in the 6th minute of additional time to end the game 2-1.

Samartex will play away at Bofoakwa Tano in match week 13 of the Ghana Premier League while RTU were expected to host Medeama but the home will be postponed because Medeama have African commitments.
