2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Week 20 Match Preview –Bibiani Goldstars vs Great Olympics

Bibiani Goldstars will be hoping to bounce back from the defeat to Asante Kotoko when they host Great Olympics at the Duns Park on Sunday for matchday 20 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Miners will be eyeing revenge against Great Olympics, who beat them in the first round in Accra. Goldstars have been inconsistence with result this season and are eyeing resurgence to their campaign.

The Bibiani-based club have managed one win and one defeat since the return of the Ghana Premier League. they defeated Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at Duns Park before succumbing to a 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors last Sunday.

Goldstars are currently 13th on the Ghana Premier League table with just 21 points after 19 matches so far this season.

In promises to be a thrilling encounter as both Goldstars and Great Olympics will be yearning for maximum points on Sunday. Referee, Dr Imoro Osman has been appointed to handle the much-anticipated game.

Great Olympics, on the other side, are brimming with confidence following a flying start to the second half of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The two-time league winners have won all two games since the return to the domestic top-flight ending of February.

They defeated Bofoakwa Tano narrowly at the Sunyani Coronation Park before beating Heart of Lions 2-0.

Great Olympics seems to have rediscover their form under Jimmy James Cobblah, who took over the club following the sacking of Annor Walker before the start of the second round.

The Accra-based club are eight on the standings with 27 points after 19 games so far this season.
