CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Dreams FC deepened the woes of Asante Kotoko with a 2-0 win on home turf in the Ghana Premier League.

In a highly-anticipated clash in Dawu on Sunday, the Still Believe lads locked horns with the Porcupine Warriors in matchday 26 of the Ghanaian top-flight.

Dreams FC were comfortable at the Theatre of Dreams and secured victory over the embattled Kotoko. This means the Still Believe lads has secured a back to back wins over the Porcupine Warriors in the 2023/24 season.

Karim Zito's outfit secured a narrow win over Kotoko in the first leg in Kumasi back in November before their recent triumph in Dawu.

The Ghana FA Cup holders scored on each half to ensure they secure maximum points over the Ghanaian giants on Sunday.

The host opened the scoring after 25 minutes into the game through Sylvester Simba as they went to the halftime break with the advantage.

After recess, Dreams FC found the back of the net again to seal victory against the Kumasi-based club. Derrick Agyei scored to cement victory for the host in the 64th minute mark.

The win ensures Dreams FC move out of the relegation zone. They are currently 14th on the league standings with 31 points.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have dropped to 12th spot with 33 points after 26 matches into the campaign.
