Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko ended the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home game against relegated Bofoakwa Tano on Sunday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors cruised to a 3-1 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium in matchday 34 of the domestic top-flight season.

Striker Kalo Ouattara opened the floodgate for Kotoko after just a minute into the game before midfielder Yahaya Baba doubled the advantage for the team.

In the 33rd minute mark, youngster Peter Amidu Acquah found the back of the net to seal victory for the host before even the halftime break.

Bofoakwa Tano managed to pull one back in the 72nd minute mark through Aihassan Ali.

The Porcupine Warriors have picked a back-to-back wins against Bofoakwa Tano in the just concluded campaign.

At the end of the league season, the record Ghana Premier League holders placed sixth position, accumulating 49 points.

They finished just a point behind Aduana Stars and Nsoatreman FC, who placed 4th and 5th positions on the league standings.

Bofoakwa Tano, on the hand, finished 17th on the league table with 33 points, ensuring their relegation from the topflight.
