2023 AFCON qualifiers: Chris Hughton aims to start strong as Black Stars coach against Angola

New head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton is targeting a strong start to life as the tactician for the Ghana national team to attract massive support.

Last month, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced in a communique that it has settled on the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager as the new head coach of the Black Stars.

After several weeks, coach Chris Hughton is set to be unveiled at a grand ceremony in Kumasi today, Monday, March 20, 2023.

Subsequently after the official unveiling, Coach Chris Hughton will begin work when he opens camp with players invited for the next round of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The coach has three days to prepare the Black Stars to take on their counterpart from Angola in a doubleheader clash in the international break.

The first of the games will be played on Thursday, March 23, at the Baba Yara Sporta Stadium in Kumasi.

In what will be his first assignment, coach Chris Hughton has set his sights on securing victory at all costs.
