German-born Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer trained for the first time with the Black Stars in Ghana on Tuesday, March 20, 2023, ahead of the upcoming games against Angola.

The 21-year-old forward joined seven other players at Accra Sports Stadium to train with new Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton.

Konigsdorffer, who plays for Hamburg SV in the German Bundesliga 2, switched nationality in July 2022 to represent Ghana after previously playing for the Germany U-21 national team. He made his debut for the Black Stars in September 2022 as a late substitute in a 1-0 win over Nicaragua.

Despite missing out on Ghana's final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Konigsdorffer has been in impressive form this season, scoring seven goals in 23 games in the German Bundesliga 2.

Born in Berlin, Germany, to a Ghanaian father and a German mother, Konigsdorffer's inclusion in the Black Stars squad adds depth to the team's attacking options ahead of their upcoming games against Angola.

With Konigsdorffer's addition, the Black Stars now have 17 players in camp as they prepare for their games against Angola. The team will travel to Kumasi to continue their preparations for the crucial matches.
