The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi was buzzing with excitement as scores of Ghana Black Stars fans gathered to witness the team's first training in preparation for their upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying game against Angola.

Head coach Chris Hughton was present with the entire squad as they engaged in an intensive training session to prepare for their game against the Palancas Negras on Thursday.

The Black Stars arrived in Kumasi on Monday afternoon and went straight to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to hold their first session. The team is set to play against Angola in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23, while the reverse fixture is scheduled for Luanda on March 27.

With four points from two games, Ghana is presently joint top of Group E after a 3-0 victory over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw against the Central African Republic in June last year. The team will be looking to maintain their good form as they seek to secure their place in the AFCON tournament.

The Ghanaian fans who had gathered to watch the training were ecstatic to see their beloved team in action.
