2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Alexander Djiku and two other out of Black Stars reverse game against Angola in Luanda Mohammed Salisu

The Black Stars will be without three key players for their return game against Angola in Lauada on Monday.

Ghana recorded a 1-0 win in the first leg of the doubleheader in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday.

AFC Bournemouth striker, Antoine Semenyo scored in the 96th minute as the Black Stars secured the three points to maintain their perfect start.

However, ahead of the return game in Launda, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu and Denis Odoi will miss the game.

Djiku was substituted during the game. Salisu, however, did not feature due to fitness concerns while Odoi who played will not make the trip to injury.

Meanwhile, Andre Ayew, who is the skipper for the side and did not feature in the first leg has also been ruled out of the game due to an injury.

The Black Stars will depart Accra on Saturday afternoon for Luanda ahead of the match on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.

Ghana sit top of Group E with seven points. The Black Stars are aiming to end the country's 41 years Afcon trophy drought in Ivory Coast next year.
