2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Black Stars expect full house today before Kumasi trip

Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton and his technical team expect a full house before they set off to Kumasi to continue their preparation for the clash with Angola.

The players will train at the Baba Yara Stadium today and Angola will train at the match venue on Wednesday.

Defender Kingsley Schindler has been called up to replace the injured Tariq Lamptey for the doubleheader.

The German-born player who is yet to be capped by Ghana arrived in Accra on Monday to join the rest of the squad. Schindler currently plays for FC Koln in the German Bundesliga.

Seventeen players are currently in camp ahead of the trip to Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon. They include Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew, Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru, and Edmund Addo.

The Black Stars will host Palancras Negras at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.
