Ghana coach, Chris Hughton has maintained his perfect start as the head coach of the Black Stars.

The 64-year-old was officially unveiled on March 20 in Kumasi.

Hughton, who replaced Otto Addo has signed a 21-months contract with the Ghana Football Association [GFA].

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager played his first game against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers.

Hughton guided the team to beat the Palancas Negras in the first leg of the doubleheader with Antoine Semenyo's late strike at the Baba Yara Stadium.

In the reverse leg in Luanda, the Black Stars held the home side to a 1-1 draw with Osman Bukari scoring late for the West African country.

After two games played, Chris Hughton has recorded one win and a draw with no defeat.

Despite the draw, the Black Stars still sit top of Group E with eight points. Ghana will take on Madagascar and the Central African Republic in the final two games of the qualifiers.

Ghana will be hoping to qualify for the Afcon for the 10th time.

With the last trophy coming in 1982 in Libya, the Black Stars will be hoping to end its 41 years trophy drought in Ivory Coast under Chris Hughton.
