Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko has expressed his eagerness for what promises to be an exciting encounter against Morocco at the ongoing 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Tuesday.

Following their thrilling 3-2 victory over Congo in the Group A opener at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Sunday, Ghana's U23 national team is gearing up to face a formidable Moroccan side that secured a 2-1 win against Guinea in their tournament opener on Saturday.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Coach Tanko acknowledged the limited time available for preparation and emphasized the importance of player regeneration to ensure optimal fitness for the crucial match.

“We have only today to prepare and we cannot do too much, we have to do the regeneration so that they will be fit tomorrow,” Tanko stated.

“We are looking forward to this game and both teams have won their first match, and I am sure that it’s going to be a very good game tomorrow,” Tanko added.
