2024 Olympic Games qualifiers: Ghana’s Black Queens through to next round after 5-0 aggregate win over Benin

The Black Queens of Ghana are through to the next round of the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Next year’s Olympic Games will be held in Paris, France.

In the African qualifiers to get representation for women’s football at the games, the Black Queens are doing very well.

Last Friday, the Black Queens beat Benin 3-0 in Benin in the first leg of the second round of the qualifiers.

Today, the second leg of the tie in the qualifiers was held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Despite the home advantage, the Black Queens of Ghana could not score in the first half.

After recess, the team pushed and piled pressure on Benin before getting the breakthrough.

Attacker Evelyn Badu equalised in the 65th minute to lead the Black Queens to a narrow 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

The second goal was an own goal.
