Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has admitted yet another injury plagued season has been 'frustrating', but is hopeful to remain fit for the remainder of the campaign.

Ramsey made his return to the Gunners squad on Boxing Day, having missed 19 games already this season, meaning he's now missed a whopping 69 games over the past three-years.

Speaking to the officialArsenal programme, the Welsh international said:Yeah, it felt good coming on the other day, so hopefully now I can get some more minutes under my belt and next I want to build it up and stay fit.

"It's obviously been a very frustrating season for me so far, especially coming off a very good Euros with Wales.

I wanted to kick on and get going this season, but it's been a bit stop-start again. It's something that I am trying to work on and I'm trying to find out what's right for me “ hopefully that will be the case from now on and I can stay fit."

The 26-year-old continued to vent his frustrations about being sidelined, and claimed mentally being injured is very tough.

It's a combination of a few things," he continued."The mental side is certainly part of it, you want to get consistency in your game and feel comfortable, but as soon as you are in and out of the team you have to keep doing the same routines and get back to full fitness each time, so it takes a while.

You have to get your fitness up in training and work your way back in, so it is frustrating but now I'm just looking forwards and hoping to stay fit.
