Abdul Aziz Yakubu grabs assist in Wuhan Three Towns draw with Urawa Red Diamonds

Ghana's Abdul Aziz Yakubu grabbed an assist in Wuhan Three Towns 2-2 draw with Urawa Red Diamonds in the AFC Champions League first round on Wednesday. 

Abdul Aziz Yakubu started the game at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium and lasted the full 90 minutes against the Japanese side.

This was the first time the teams were playing against each other.

The away side had a lot of possession and shots throughout the game.

Zhang Xiaobin's right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner gave Wuhan Three Towns the lead in the 10th minute. Zhang Xiaobin's goal was assisted by Abdul Aziz Yakubu.

Bryan Linssen of Urawa Red Diamonds scored in the 55th minute to make it 1-1. Linssen's header from the centre of the box landed in the bottom left corner.  Bryan Linssen's goal was assisted by Kaito Yasui with a cross.

In the 62nd minute, Davidson stepped up and scored from the penalty spot to increase Wuhan's lead to two.

José Kanté scored in added time to save Urawa Red Diamonds from tasting defeat.
