Abdul Gazale left disappointed after Asante Kotoko's heavy defeat against Berekum Chelsea

Interim Asante Kotoko coach, Abdul Gazale has admitted his team failed to perform in their 3-0 defeat against Berekum Chelsea on Friday.

The Porcupine Warriors were hosted at the Golden City Park in the matchday 26 games.

Having been held to a goalless game against King Faisal in an outstanding game, Gazale and his charges were hoping to return to winning ways.

However, the Reds were hammered by the home side.

Speaking after the game, Gazale said the result is very disappointing but the bad pitch is the reason why they lost.

“It’s a disappointing result from our side, We were here to pick three points but it's unfortunate that it went against us.

"We didn’t do well. The entire team, we didn’t do well because the way we wanted to play we couldn’t get the chance to play that way because of the nature of the pitch,” the Asante Kotoko coach said.

“I think our players, we have to go back to the drawing board in order to correct these mistakes. We have been conceding goals through our defensive line and I think there is a need for us to do more to correct it," he added.

Kotoko sit 4th on the league log with 39 points and will host league leaders Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium in the matchday 27 games next week Sunday.
