The Black Stars ended their AFCON qualifying campaign on a high following a 3-1 victory over Sao Tome and Principe at the Accra Sports stadium on Sunday.

Nicholas Opoku opened the scoring with a powerful header inside 13 minutes. The team pushed on and got another opportunity to find the net right after the hour mark.

Jordan Ayew was brought down by his opponent in the penalty box and the referee pointed to the spot. The Crystal Palace man stepped up and made no mistake with his finish.

Abdul Baba Rahman made it three in the 60th minute from close range after bombing forward to receive Mohammed Kudus' pass.

In the 83rd minute, Razak Abalora gifted the ball to Carvalho who made no mistake, slotting the ball into an open net.

Ghana have topped group C with 13 points and Sudan are second with 12 points.
