Agent of Philippe Coutinho Revealed to Be Pushing Reds Ace Towards Barcelona as Interest Intensifies

Rumours of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho joining Barcelona have intensified after reports suggest that the player's agent has been pushing for a deal to be made in favour of the Catalan side.


The Brazilian internationalhas been in scintillatingform this season for the Reds, scoring five goals and producing five assists in 11 appearances in all competitions, but rumours are continuing to circulate regarding the player's future at the club, ashis agentKia Joorabchian has allegedly been eyeing up a deal for Coutinho to leave in the summer.

According toMundo Deportivo,Joorabchian has been pushing the Spanish champions to make a serious bid for the 24-year-old, in order to prize one of the Premier League's best attacking talents away from Merseyside, however it has also been reported that Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has rejected the idea of acquiring Coutinho in January.



Further rumours that Coutinho is interested in a move to Spain were further intensified after the Brazilian met up with a few Barca players in their team hotel following their Champions League group match against Manchester City, including compatriot Neymar, who is said to be very keen to have his friend join him at the Nou Camp.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be very keen to quash these rumours and see Coutinho commit to the club on a long-term contract following his start to the season, as well as his importance to the attacking and pressing style that Klopp has successfully incorporated into the side since his arrival last year.
