Ghanian defender Rashid Sumaila has handed Al Gharafa a major injury boost by training ahead of his return after a minor knock.

The Ghanaian defender was hauled off at half time in the side’s 2-1 win over Al Jaish in the Qatari Premier League on Friday following a clash with Jaish midfielder Abdurahman Abubakar in the first half of the match.

The 24-year-old joined his colleagues in a training session on Sunday evening as they prepare ahead of their Friday’s clash against Al Kharaitiyat in week 26 of the league.

Sumaila, who joined the side after four games into the campaign from Kuwaiti outfit Al Quadsia is expected to feature in the game as they look to push for a top three finish.
