Alexander Djiku set to miss AFCON qualifiers after suffering fresh injury

Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku will miss Ghana's AFCON qualifiers after suffering a fresh injury.

He suffered the setback during a Ligue 1 game against Monaco. The injury has been revealed to be an adductor problem.

This means that he will be out for a minimum of one month.

Due to this, he will not be present when Ghana take on South Africa in late March. He will also miss the clash with Sao Tome and Pricipe in the final qualifiers game.

Djiku was handed his Black Stars debut against Mali in 2020.
