Ghana international Joseph Alfred Duncan and his Fiorentina outfit are already looking forward to the UEFA Europa Conference League final after losing the Coppa Italia title to Inter Milan.

Duncan's hopes of clinching double this season with Fiorentina has hit a snag after failing to beat Inter Milan in the Cup competition final.

Fiorentina missed the chance to annex their first trophy of the 2022/23 season following defeat to giants Inter Milan.

The former Black Stars midfielder was an unused substitute when his outfit suffered a 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan on Wednesday night at the Stadio Olimpico.

Fiorentina shot into the lead after just three minutes into the much-anticipated clash through Nicolas Gonzalez but failed to hold onto the lead as Inter came from behind to clinch the title.

Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez scored a brace to propel Inter to victory in the encounter.

The 25-year-old found the back of the net in the 29th minute mark to restore parity for Inter before adding his second in the 37th minute.

With no additional goalsin the match, Inter cruised to victory to win the Coppa Italia title.

Duncan and his Fiorentina outfit will now shift their attention to the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

Fiorentina will face English outfit West Ham United on June 7 at the Fortuna Arena.
