Former Asante Kotoko management member Ali Maradona has stepped forward to deliver a reassuring message to the club's passionate supporters, urging them to remain calm amidst reports of the dissolution of the board by Otumfuo, following a disappointing season tainted with internal conflicts.

The board of Asante Kotoko was set up in 2020 with Dr. Kwame Kyei as its chairman to oversee the affairs of the club.

The Kumasi-based club won the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title but the could not defend it this season. The Porcupine Warriors ended the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in 4th place with 52 points after 34 games.

"Let me say this to Kotoko supporters they should stay away from speculations because in times like this everybody will be talking. I will also beg Manhiya the timing to do change in administration it doesn't help Kotoko," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"If Manhiya wants to change management or board it should first round so that the person will be aware that the end of the season I am continuing then I can buy players for Asante Kotoko,"

"As at now board doesn't know if they will go or stay and management doesn't know if they will go or stay at the end Kotoko is suffering,"
