Now into his fourth season as a Napoli player, Allan is keen to help the Partenopei win silverware this season after going close to winning the Scudetto last term.
The Brazilian midfielder’s immediate focus though is on the next game against Sampdoria, and he is aware that visiting the Stadio Luigi Ferraris will not be easy.
“It is always tough at the Marassi,” he said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“Even if we do not give away goals like against Lazio and Milan, we need to stay focused for the full 90 minutes.”
Allan also took the time to praise new coach Carlo Ancelotti and said it is his hunger to win that keeps him running.
“It is easy to work with him [Ancelotti],” he added. “He is calm and leaves you to do what you know.
“He just needs to say two or three words to direct you, but he is a very good coach.”
After the disappointment of missing out on the Scudetto last season, Allan wants silverware by the end of 2018/19.
“I always want to win and go beyond my limits. I want to improve myself from game to game.
“It is my fourth year in Naples now and I want to win something.”
