A member of Accra Hearts of Oak's all-conquering side in the year 2000 has given a damning assessment of the current side, insisting that no member of their current squad will have made the first 11 during his days.

Mireku in an interview on Kumasi based Kessben FM lamented about the quality of players in the current team.

He said among the current shambolic squad of the club, only Ivorian import Robin Gnagne will have been given a place on the bench in the past as none of the players are fit to play for Hearts.

Speaking in reaction to Hearts of Oak’s decline over the past years Mireku said, “Most of the players that are playing for Hearts now are not fit to play Hearts of Oak.

”If Hearts for instance have six players who play like Robin Gnagne, Hearts wouldn’t have been here.”

"Someone asked me that, Amankwah so the Current Hearts of Oak players which players would you select to be part of your 2000 squad, is sad, today the Players at Hearts is only Robin who I will even consider for him to be on bench".

Hearts of Oak have not won the Ghana Premier League over the past seven years.
